Geometric
Opening sequence for an animated web series.
Geometrik is a sarcastic web series that talks about daily news, from an ironic point of view, understanding life as a geometric and 2D world. This idea, based in the novel Flatland by Edwin Abbott Abbott (1988), uses basic geometric shapes to create living beings that form a society where the number of sides represents the position in society. From this point on, the characters will interact, discuss and opine about real daily situations.
This funny and ironic concept is also presented in the opening titles. Using the same main components, the sequence shows the trip of a line, the lower level in Flatland’s society, thought a busy environment with other characters, and interacting with them at an increasing tempo.
The colours are bright and saturated, as part of the variety of characters on display, but also giving all comical look.
