Branding project for a restaurant of Italian food.
In the briefing, the client wanted the identity of the restaurant to represent celebration and enjoyment around food, in a fresh and funny way, but with connections to the Italian culture.
To achieve this, the design is based on 2 elements. On one side, the iconic figure of Raffaella Carrà, that represents the celebration and Italianism. On the other side, the visual references to the Memphis Group, also anchored in the Italian culture of the 80s and highly recognisable by the use of colours, shapes and patterns.
Using both references, Carrà results in a fresh a funny restaurant, with strong connections to the 80s but also taking advantage of the revival of the aesthetics.
The project includes the design of the brand and the development of the stylebook, as well as the most common applications.
A part of the applications, a food truck design has also been developed, together with a smartphone application that allows the customers to reserve or order the food in advance from the truck.
